Welcome to Futululu Forest, ‘under the trees’, in the heart of Zululand KwaZulu-Natal. One of the last of your coastal forest resorts set in its natural state, Futululu Forest offers a number of accommodation options where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of our unspoilt coastal forests. Futululu Forest offers fully serviced self-catering Chalets, ‘backpacker’ dorm rooms as well as powered camp sites. Perfectly situated only 17 kms from the town of St Lucia, and about 50 kms from the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve, Futululu Forest allows for easy day trips to our unique World Heritage Site, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and the beautiful Cape Vidal.

We have 2x 2 bedroom, 4 sleeper chalets and 2x 1 bedroom, 2 sleeper chalets.

Our chalets have fully furnished kitchenettes for your self-catering needs. Please enquire about our communal kitchen for self-catering in the dorms and camp sites.

There is no WiFi on site but there is network coverage from all major service providers

Adequate parking for all vehicle types is available and free of charge.
Load Shedding
Small generator on site which runs lights only.
Dishwashing
No dishwashing required for catered camps. Self-catering will require own dishwashing.
Bedding & Laundry
Linen and bedding provided in all chalet rooms. Only sheets provided in dorms. There are no laundry facilities at Futululu.The nearest laundry service can be found in St Lucia.
Pool
Swimming pool available on site. Adult supervision required. Use at your own risk.
Check-in & Checkout
Unless otherwise arranged, check-in is at 2pm and checkout at 10am.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy
50% deposit required to secure booking. Non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 14 days of booked dates.
Payment Facilities
We are a strictly cash free venue. Payment made via EFT or card machine.

Beaches
The Saint Lucia beaches are some of the widest, wildest, and most untouched beaches in the country. Head into the iSimangiliso Park on the Eastern Shores and discover the exquisite white sand and blue waters of Cape Vidal, as well as exploring the rockpools at Mission Rocks.

This place was awesome for the family! A great advantage for me was that the place doesn’t have wild animals like other parts of St. Lucia. Also super affordable! Stargazing, rest and relaxation. Physical activity for all levels of fitness. We stayed at the environmental centre chalets, it had everything we needed. The host is sweet and kind. Innumerable tourist attractions nearby.
There’s peace and tranquillity at Futululu ,It a great place for group visitors. I loved it!
